Olivia’s Story

Olivia Schaaf, a bright and brave 3-year-old, was diagnosed with leukemia in early 2026 after initially battling a high fever. Following multiple doctor visits and bloodwork, her family received the life-changing news. Since then, Olivia has been courageously undergoing chemotherapy through various treatments, including port access, medication, and spinal taps.

Olivia is currently on a month-to-month treatment plan, with doctors anticipating approximately 2.5 years of chemotherapy. While she should have been starting preschool in Fall 2026, her family has made the decision to keep her home during treatment, where she is surrounded by constant love, comfort, and care.

Despite everything she is facing, Olivia is still full of life and light. She loves watching Bluey, Spidey, and Paw Patrol, and has a beautiful creative spirit. Whether she’s painting, coloring, drawing, or making crafts (sometimes even beading!), Olivia expresses herself with joy and imagination. She just might be a future artist in the making.

Olivia is supported by an incredibly strong and loving family. Her dad, a chief of a local fire department, also dedicates his time to coaching middle school football and high school baseball. Her mom wears her “super mom” cape every single day, caring for Olivia and her 18-month-old brother with endless love, strength, and devotion.

Olivia, sweet girl, we are in your corner, and in your family’s corner, every step of the way. Your courage and spirit inspire us all. We are lifting you up in love and prayer each and every day.

You’ve got this.

It’s not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog.
