Linda Aguanno, a mother of three daughters attending Shoreham-Wading River schools, entered into a joyful blended family when she remarried Anthony Aguanno in 2022. Unfortunately, less than a year after their marriage, in August 2023, Linda received a diagnosis of stage 2 rectal cancer and a recto-vaginal fistula. Subsequently, she underwent surgery for a colostomy in September and has been enduring a five-week course of chemo-radiation, followed by Chemo Infusion Therapy. Upon completion of the therapy, she is scheduled for a full hysterectomy, removal of the fistula, removal of the rectal tumor, and potentially, removal of the bowels.
