In September of 2022, Charles “Chuck” Williams had a successful heart surgery. After a few days he became very ill. He had a staph infection which landed him back in the hospital. As he was being treated, he began having excruciating back pain and a tumor the size of an orange was found. Unfortunately, the tumor was embedded in 5 of his arteries. At that time a biopsy determined he had stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. Immediately they set him up with a very aggressive Chemo for 4 months followed by 6 weeks radiation. The next scan showed it metastasized to his liver through a scan and biopsy. He is on a very aggressive chemo treatment which he will have to stay on indefinitely. Every 3 months he has scans to make sure it doesn’t spread. Unfortunately, he will never be off chemo for the rest of his life so they can try and keep it under control. Sometimes days are long and hard and thankfully he’s trying to stay strong for the love he has for his family.
